What is a private server?

A private server is a game server run by a community instead of the official publisher: classic versions like WoW Vanilla or Metin2 old-school, custom content, different rates, or simply a fresh start with friends. TopPrivateServer lists the most popular ones for World of Warcraft, Metin2, Ragnarok Online, Lineage 2, Aion, MU Online, Silkroad and more.

Instead of votes that can be farmed, the ranking uses the size of each server's Discord community, refreshed several times a day, with a full member history for the last year.

How the top list works

Gold members are pinned at the top in a random order that changes every day. New servers get a week in the spotlight. Everyone else is ranked by Discord members online.
