Requiem Discord

Requiem Server Overview Requiem is a role-play enforced Ultima Online shard with a grimdark horror setting, and it has been running long enough that its lore now stretches back roughly a decade of in-world history. The setting deliberately strips out the high-fantasy furniture that most UO shards keep. There are no orcs and no dragons here; the world is built instead around plague, the dead, and what is left of a society thirty years after a catastrophe. In the shard's timeline the year is 1342 and the horror known as The Torment first appeared around three decades earlier, which is the event the current world is still living in the shadow of. Role-play is enforced rather than encouraged, and the shard pairs that with a full permadeath system, so the two halves of the design reinforce each other: characters matter because they can be lost.
