The Fractured Realms

The Fractured Realm Server Overview The Fractured Realm is a heavily customised Ragnarok Online server that grafts action RPG loot mechanics onto the classic client. Instead of tracking a specific official episode, the team rebuilt progression around fractured versions of familiar maps and around a currency and crafting economy modelled on Path of Exile. The hub of the world is the Riftbound Castle, from which players unlock exploration instances rather than following the original questline outward. Every item in the game, shadow gear and costumes included, can carry rolled modifiers, so gearing is a loot hunt rather than a fixed checklist. The result reads as Ragnarok on the surface and as a Diablo style item game underneath.
