SWGVanguard Server Overview Star Wars Galaxies was a sandbox MMORPG whose reputation rests on the systems around combat rather than combat itself: player-built cities, a crafting economy that supplied everything worth using, and a Rebel versus Imperial faction war fought over territory. SWG Vanguard is a reconstruction of that game aimed squarely at players who came for those systems. The team frames the server as an operations environment rather than a theme park, with grounded lore-driven scenarios in the Outer Rim, long-running campaigns rather than one-off events, and conflict that comes out of faction positioning instead of scripted encounters. Classic SWG mechanics are kept in place while balance and quality-of-life are modernised, so the parts that aged badly are fixed without the sandbox being replaced.
